Lionel Messi 'would be happy' to join Man City after submitting Barcelona transfer request

Lionel Messi is strongly linked with a move to Manchester City from Barcelona.

"Lionel Messi "would be happy" to join Manchester City from Barcelona this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol. Messi told Barcelona on Tuesday that he wants to leave the club in this transfer window. The news had led to wide speculation over where the Argentina superstar could end up.

The “student aid” which played a significant role in garnering more votes for the New Patriotic Party was launched at a brief ceremony in Accra Friday, March 23, 2018.

Speaking at the National Youth Authority’s Youth Entrepreneurship Forum at the Accra Digital Centre, Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said the trainee allowance has come to stay, adding that it will be an incentive to make the profession more attractive.

“The restoration of the teacher trainee allowance is the first step on the road to ensuring that the teacher enjoys the exulted status it enjoyed in times past. With your help we shall make this happen,” he said.

Planting For Food and Jobs

Planting for Food and Jobs is a flagship agricultural Campaign of the Government, with five (5) implementation modules.

The first module PFJ (Crops) aims to promote food security and immediate availability of selected food crops on the market and also provide jobs.

This module was officially launched by H. E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo at Goaso on April 19, 2017 in the then Brong Ahafo Region.

The five Modules are

•Food Crops (PFJ)

•Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD)

•Greenhouse Technology Villages (3 Villages)

•Rearing for Food and Jobs ( RFJ)

•Agricultural Mechanisation Services (AMSECs)

This passion for the throne by Satan lead to his expelled from Heaven and a great hatred was developed by Satan towards God. The hatred is so severe that the Devil now is trying everything possible in his power to take over and destroy everything that is dear to God.

We all know how he tried with Job, the temptation Jesus Christ went through after his 40 days and 40 nights fasting. The tribulations the disciples went through are all part of the war the Devil calls upon them that genuinely love and follow Christ Jesus and his Father, God.

Now the moment you see this three areas you are about to read about going down in your life, then know that your life is in an intense attack from the Devil. It's not that you've done anything to him, but it's just because he has seen that God has a secret purpose for you. Be alert.

1. YOUR PASSION FOR GOD

Satan will never make you to be drinking, smoking and be sleeping around no, sometimes that is too easy. Yes most at times that's the simplest way he uses to distract people from their Eternal Glory. But he knows this kind of backsliding is cheap. You will realise it fast and repent from it so he will take your fire gradually.

"I was glad when there said unto me let us go into the house of the Lord"

The above quote is a sign that your spirit is in tune. When people are already backsliding and couldn't feel the spirit of revival around their lives, they lose favour for things of God and the house of God.

2. YOUR PRAYER LIFE

This is an area where many do recognise that they are falling apart at. If you can't pray and you keep postponing your prayer time for unnecessary things like watching of TV, being with your phone, sleeping etc. Then my friend be alert. The Devil has pay you a visit.

One funny thing about all of this distractions is that, you will first feel bad but after a few days, you will become comfortable. Satan will never strike you hard for you to realise what's going on, he is not a fool.

There are many Christians, even pastors whose prayer life have been tempered by Satan and is dying slowly.

Carelessness is a dangerous thing in the spirit, it's more dangerous than immorality.

Satan knows how important prayer is for a believer, like how brest milk is important to a new a born baby, so is prayer to a believer. One week and you've not prayed, that alone gives the devil access to your life and everything you've worked hard for all your life.

The third thing Satan attacks when he wants to destroy you is your relationships. He kills all your connection intentionally with people who has the power and grace to help you reach your destiny (your destination in life) so that he can bring about delaying in your life.

He removes you from your spiritual family. He removes you from the company of great men and women who can take advantage of their secret places and cover you.

Solitude is different from isolation, when Satan wants to destroy you, he cuts off all your spiritual connection to make sure you stand alone for him to really get full access to you.

Plan to withdraw US soldiers sparks anxiety in Somalia

Plans by the United States to withdraw its troops from Somalia has caused anxiety among partners involved in the war against terror in the country, with appeals for Washington to reconsider its decision.

There were reports that President Donald Trump had asked his top security advisers to draw up a plan for the withdrawal of US troops from Somalia in order to fulfill a 2016 campaign promise to bring US soldiers home from places like Afghanistan, Syria, and Germany.

While the plan to withdraw from Somalia is not yet concrete, it could leave the African Union Mission in Somalia (Amisom) less effective, given that the US troops have been providing essential aerial surveillance on Al Shabaab activities and helping in air bombardment using drones.

Somalia President Abdullahi Muhammed Farmajo tweeted that his government wants the US troops to stay. “The United States military support to Somalia has enabled us to effectively combat Al Shabab and secure the Horn of Africa. A victory through this journey and for Somali-US partnership can only be achieved through continuous security partnership and capacity building support,” he said tweeted.

The US maintains between 600 and 800 troops in Somalia that work closely with Amisom and the Somalia National Army (SNA) in combating Al Shabaab.

The US Africa Command (Africom) helped set up an elite Somali counterterrorism unit, the Danab Advanced Infantry Brigade, in which the US troops have been assisting in operations against Al-Shabaab.

The US forces have also been collaborating with Amisom, especially the Kenyan confinement, in the drone pre-emptive attacks against Al Shabaab leadership.

Amisom spokesperson Col Charles Okongo Ambiakha told The EastAfrican that it will be up to the United Nations Security Council and the African Union Peace and Security Council to give guidance on the way forward should the US troops withdraw.

“However, we at Amison are committed to fulfilling our mandate as stipulated in UN Security Council Resolution 2520 (2020), as we prepare to hand over security responsibility to Somali Security Forces by December 2021,” said Col Ambiakha.

The Resolution 2520 adopted in May while noting that the situation in Somalia continues to constitute a threat to international peace and security, directed that Amisom should maintain the deployment of 19,626 uniformed personnel until February 28, 2021, when the force is supposed to start the process for full withdraw from Somalia since it entered the country in 2007.

This includes a minimum of 1,040 Amisom police personnel including five Formed Police Units, to support security preparations for 2020/21 elections and complete the plan for the handover of security to Somali security forces.

While Amisom troops have been the target of attack by Al Shabaab, the militants in January 2020, attacked a US and Kenyan military base in Manda Bay Airfield in Lamu, killing one US serviceman and two Department of Defense contractors. In September, the US Africa Command’s director of intelligence, Heidi Berg, expressed concern that Al Shabaab was becoming more emboldened in targeting troops.

Ghana superstar, Thomas Partey has revealed why he kept his move top Europe from his friends with the exception of his father.

The midfielder left Tema Youth at a very tender age to join Atletico Madrid for trials.

So to make sure nothing could jeopardise his dream move, he kept it secret from all of his friends and family, with the exception of his father.

"My dad knew about it but then I told him not to tell anyone," Partey said. "There was a saying that when everybody knows about your move, they can disturb you. That's mostly in Ghana because I was playing with my friends and you never know what someone is thinking, so we just had to keep it secret until everyone saw it.

"I wanted to play outside Ghana and I was focused on playing with the great people we saw on TV because we used to watch La Liga, the Premier League, so many leagues. All my inspirations played in that league.

"Moving to Spain taught me a lot and I've learnt a lot from it, how to take decisions on my own, how to be perfect, how to try to go through hell. But then you know that after the hell, you have important things ahead that you can enjoy.

"I'll always take those challenges and I know that with all these challenges, you'll be able to make it."

Partey made his debut on Saturday against Manchester City.
