[Today in history: Run to God or fail- Opambour tells Mahama ]
Former President John Mahama is hoping to return to the jubliee house after the December polls.
Two years to the 2016 polls that saw John Dramani Mahama kicked out as president , popular Ghanaian pastor, Rev. Ebenezer Opambour Adarkwah Yiadom had warned the then- President to urgently seek the face of God over the state of Affairs in the country.
The head of the Ebenezer Miracle Worship centre in Kumasi warned Mr Mahama that he may end up as failed president if he does not seek the intervention of God.
The country had been battling harsh economic conditions and erratic power.
" I am telling you what God has told me about Ghana and our current situation. Tell the president he should go on his knees and seek the face of God and stop relying on the wisdom of men. It is only intervention of God that can save Ghana From its current economic hardships. If the leaders of this country do not stop relying on the book knowledge of mortal men that have landed the country in this situation and start to move closer to God to seek wisdom , we would be having failed leadership'', Opambour told NEWS- ONE .

country reports 641 cases over the past 24 hours

the number of cases in Ghana surpassed 23,000 Thursday with 641 infections reported over the past 24 hours ,according to the country's health authorities.
Confirmed cases rose to 23,463, while the nationwide death toll stands at 129. The total number of recoveries reached 18,622.
No death from the virus have been reported in the last two days .
Ghana's capital,Accra,along with Ashanti and the western and central regions are the worst-hit areas.
The number of coronavirus cases in africa has exceeded 554,000, while the death toll on the continent is nearing 12,500.
In the statement on the local radio ,Ghana's Education Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh , who has been discharged from the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago.
Since first appearing in Wuhan, China last December ,the novel coronavirus has spread to at least 188 countries and regions.
The US, Brazil ,India and Russia are currently the countries hardest hit in the world .
The pandemic has killed more than 554,000 people worldwide,with an excess of 12.22 million confirmed cases and over 6.7 million recoveries, according to figures complied by US-based Johns Hopkins University.
